VMK will never be forgotten.

Well here is the second Halloween Updates!

Skins:
A new skin has just been added! At the bottom of your page you will now see Halloween - Dark this is the 2nd and final halloween skin this year! Like the others it will be gone on November 1st, 2008 so get all the use you want out of it now!

Quests:
Part 3 of 5 has been released!! Click Here to go to the 3rd part of the quest! This quest is all about the Haunted Mansion!

I thought i might give you some cool facts about the haunted mansion you might want to read before taking the quest:

  • In the Grand Ballroom, Great Caesar's Ghost can be seen sitting at the dining table! Cleopatra does appear in the ballroom room, but she is sitting on the chandelier, not at the table.
  • The Haunting was the movie that inspired the "breathing" door effect in the Corridor of Doors
  • In the Phantom Manor The Bride appears in the Endless Hallway. The Bride is a key figure in the Phantom Manor storyline. The other Mansions do not have a set storyline. Also, their Endless Hallways contains a floating candelabra instead of The Bride.
  • In all the mansions the King and Queen in the graveyard are using A wooden board they've placed over a tombstone for a makeshift teeter-totter. Other recreational activities going on in the graveyard: Bicycle riding, tea party, swinging, and of course singing.
  • 'Grim Grinning Ghosts' is one of the greatest Disney anthems ever. It was expertly written by Disney imagineer Xavier Atencio. Buddy Baker was the man who composed the music for 'Grim Grinning Ghosts'.
  • In Magic Kingdom's Haunted Mansion the Wolf howl is a supernatural sound that can be heard while waiting in line during the day however at night you will hear thunder.
  • The talented Mrs. Audley portrayed the evil Lady Tremaine in Walt Disney's Cinderella and the Voice for Madme Leota. By the way, the *face* of Madame Leota is not Audley. The lady who provided that service was Leota Toombs, one of the imagineers who worked on the attraction. Fitting last name, isn't it?
  • In the Phantom Manor the Séance Room you can see Windows through which thunderclouds can be seen.
  • At first, The Haunted Mansion was called simply "The Haunted House." But as the attraction evolved a storyline was added. The story dealt with a family with the surname of Bloodstone who all died horrible deaths in the Mansion and still haunt the place. Hence the new name of "Bloodstone Manor." The Bloodstone family theme was eventually dropped however, the name was changed into the "Haunted Mansion", all storylines were excised, and the attraction became simply a retirement home for old ghosts.
  • The "Museum of the Weird" was originally supposed to be placed at the exit of the Haunted Mansion. It was intended to be a showcase of odd and unusual items that the Disney Imagineers cooked up. A pirate wax museum was going to be located where Pirates of the Caribbean now is. With the advent of audio-animatronics, it was decided to use this new technology to make the pirates fully animated figures in a elaborate boat ride.
  • In Magic Kingdom's Haunted Mansion the grill in front of the foyer fireplace is shaped like a bat.
  • Except for the few books that are being "moved by ghostly hands", all of the shelves, paneling, and books in the library are actually paintings on a canvas. This is not noticeable at all in the gloom and darkness of the ride.
Here are the rest of the quests you might want to also do and the dates for the final two quests!
